This Is How We Live
"We're just so lazy. We used to have breath mints. Now we have breath strips that just dissolve on our tongue. Can we not suck anymore?" Ellen has a wonderful point here ! I mean how easy are things going to get ? I'm starting to think that maybe technology continues to rapidly grow because people are starting to get lazier as time grows. After analyzing this reading I realized how lazy technology made me. I hate it ! I understand that technology severs a purpose to our society and helps humans connect and communicate with one another but there should be a limit. Society is relying heavily on technology and I agree with Ellen, most things are completely pointless. For instance, the moving side walk at airports. I mean 99.9 percent of people use it just because it's there not because it's needed. When I went to Florida last summer I played on the damn thing. I just find certain forms of technology useless, such as that one. Although there are other technology that is very useful; the advance technology we use today helps contribute to our laziness and it's beginning to become a huge concern. I mean next people aren't going to have to feed themselves. Technology will develop a way for individuals to press a button and be satisfied. On a more serious note, people need to realize how important technology really is. If people did maybe society wouldn't take as much advantage. Ellen states really good points and supports them with vaild details and facts, I wish she had been a little more serious but overall I enjoyed reading.
